Having just arrived from the west coast to enjoy the EAA airshow, I knew I also wanted to get in some fishing at the rental house on Beaver Dam Lake. I happened to pass Hwy Bait & Tackle on the way to the house and stopped in...and I'm glad I did. I got to meet Stuart and told him my game plan. He advised me on what the action at the lake was as well as some historical info about fishing the lake. I picked up some bait and a little bit of gear and was on my way. It's nice to walk into a place as a stranger and have someone engage you and take an interest in what you're trying to achieve and I appreciate Stuart's focus on my situation. Also, doing all that with a friendly smile helped a visitor like me feel welcome. By the way, Stuart; 3hrs after I was at the store, I caught a nice big catfish on the nightcrawlers. He was delicious! Thanks for the advice on bait!
